That’s why LBSA has partnered with The Rhino Orphanage, the world’s first specialised, non-commercial centre dedicated solely to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing orphaned rhinos back into the wild.
Meet Marang – Our Ray of Sunshine
As part of our Mandela Day Initiative, LBSA proudly adopted Marang, one of the youngest rhinos ever taken in by The Rhino Orphanage. His name means “Ray of Sunshine” — a fitting description of his bright and hopeful spirit despite the heartbreaking loss of his mother to poaching.
Marang’s love for basking in the sun mirrors our mission at LBSA: harnessing solar power to bring light, energy, and hope into homes, businesses, and now, conservation. He’s a true reminder that even in the darkest times, there is always light to be found.
