Modular by design
Start with six modules and grow as your load does. Each module slides in beside the controller and adds 38.4 V and 12.1 kWh — all the way to 22 modules and 844.8 V in one rack.
Plug in, power up
Short black-to-orange jumpers run down the right-hand column and snake back up the left pair — no long lead from the bottom of the rack to the top. The RJ45 comms daisy-chain follows the same path.

Built to fit
One 600 mm-wide rack holds up to 22 modules, the controller and all the cabling — 266 kWh on well under a square metre of floor.

Cell-level intelligence
The BMS in every module measures each cell's voltage plus two module temperature sensors, and reports up a daisy-chained comms link to the rack controller.
Bidirectional current limiting
Before the main contactor closes, current flows through a ±10 A limiter — gently pre-charging the inverter bus or charging a flat rack. Once the bus voltage matches the battery, full power is released.
Rapid comms failover
Racks share one communications line to the inverter. If the rack talking to the inverter goes silent, the next rack takes over the link automatically — the inverter never loses its battery.

Wire-free by design
Every module is a drawer. A blind-mate connector at the back engages the rack’s high-voltage bus, balance bus and comms in one push — no cables to route or terminate.
Inside the rack
Behind the drawers, copper busbars link the modules in series, a shared two-wire balance bus runs past every level, and CAN comms run up the rack to the controller.
Module balancing
When one module’s highest cell passes 3.450 V while another’s stays below 3.400 V, the rack closes that module’s two balance contactors. Its extra energy runs up the shared balance bus into the controller’s 1000 W resistors for a 30-second window.

Bidirectional current limiter
Add a new rack to a live bank at a different voltage — no manual voltage matching, no tools. The limiter holds the equalising current in either direction until the rack voltages match, then the racks share the load.

Engineered differently
Every LBSA high-voltage system is designed, assembled and supported in South Africa — with safety and serviceability engineered into the hardware, not bolted on.
If the master battery fails, a slave detects it on the CAN line and takes over as master instantly — the inverter keeps talking and the system keeps running. Parallel up to 60 racks on one line, up to 5.2 MW.
The controller integrates a Fireblock suppression mechanism that triggers automatically in the rare event of internal overheating or component failure.
Briefly supports up to 300 A during peak demand, so motors, pumps and other heavy inductive loads start and run reliably.
No inter-module cabling to route or get wrong — faster, safer commissioning with fewer failure points.
Modules and controllers slide in on drawer-style latch locks. No screws, no tools, much faster rack assembly.

Before the grid wakes up, your site already knows the plan: solar straight into the battery, the battery in charge of the pump, and zero peak-time grid power.
Solar charges
The PV array feeds the battery directly on the DC side — no extra inverter in between, no conversion losses.
Battery controls VSD
Over RS485, the battery sets the VSD’s speed and start/stop — matching pump speed to the sun while it keeps charging.
Peak window
When expensive peak tariffs kick in, the battery carries the pump on its own. The grid sits idle.
Autonomous
Your Sentinel schedule is stored inside the battery. It runs the pump on SoC thresholds — even if the internet drops.
Latched between thresholds — no rapid on/off cycling.
Savings
Solar pumping by day, battery pumping through the peak — the savings add up fast.
